Geoffrey W. White

Geoffrey W. White is the principal of of the Geoffrey W. White Law Corporation. He has received honours in Wills, Estates and Client Counseling. Winthin the Canadian Bar Association, he is the Acting Chair of the National CBA Elder Law Section. He is Past President of the Wills & Trusts (Okanagan) Section, and a member of the Charity Law Section and Tax Law Section. He is Past President of the Kelowna Estate Planning Society and a past member of the Succession Law Reform Committee of the BC Law Institute. He is also a member of the Kelowna Gift Planning Roundtable, the Central Okanagan Foundation Grants Committee, the Planned Lifetime Advocacy Network, the Canadian Tax Foundation and the International Society of Trust and Estate Practitioners (STEP). Geoff is currently a director of the BC Centre for Elder Advocacy and Support Societ which operates BC's only Elder Law Clinic with the support of the BC Law Foundation. Geoff is a frequent lecturer at the BC Continuing Legal Education for lawyers on topics such as Trust law, Will & Estate matters, and Elder law. In current projects, Geoff is a co-editor of the "BC CLE Probate & Estate Administration Practice Manual" and is helping to design the lawyer education program for BC's new Wills, Estate and Succession Act, which is expected to take effect in 2012.

Jeannet is our receptionist and is part of our estate planning department. Jeannet has been with our office since 2006.
Crystal Soutar
Legal Assistant - Estate Litigation, Corporate, Real Estate
Crystal assists with our estate litigation, corporate, and real estate files. Crystal has been with our office since 2008.
Crystal received her Legal Assistant Diploma, as well as her Business Management and E-Commerce Diploma at Sprott Shaw Community College.
When Crystal is away from the office she enjoys travelling, snowboarding, yoga, and spending time with her dog Bailey.
Braeden Rahn
Legal Assistant - Estate Administration / Tech Administrator
Braeden is part of our estate administration department. He also maintains the office's computers and equipment. Braeden has been with our office since 2009. Prior to joining our office, Braeden worked in restaurant and retail management.
Braeden received his Legal Assistant Diploma, with honours, from the Southern Alberta Institute of Technology in Calgary in 2008. Away from the office, he enjoys spending time at his family's winery and snowboarding during the winter.
Jaime Dakin
Legal Assistant - Estate Planning
Jaime is part of our estate planning department. Jaime has been with our office since 2008.
Deborah Courtney
Legal Assistant - Estate Planning
Deborah is part of our estate planning department. Prior to joining our office, Deborah has worked for nearly 15 years as a legal assistant in a wide range of law areas including estate planning, estate administration, tax and succession planning, corporate reorganizations, company law, and estate litigation. Previous to that, Deborah taught secondary school in Vancouver.
Deborah earned a BEd from UBC Vancouver and a Legal Assistant Diploma from Okanagan University College. Away from the office, she enjoys spending time with her family, gardening, yoga, and hiking.
Sandra Dyck
Legal Assistant - Estate Administration, Trust Administration
Sandra is part of our estate administration department and also assists with Trust and Power of Attorney matters. Sandra has been with our office since 2011.
